“I was energized by the enthusiasm and commitment of the many senior IT and government speakers at the Canadian Cloud Council’s Ottawa event,” commented Levine. “It is evident to me that both the Canadian public sector and its many commercial enterprises intend to become world recognized leaders in this exciting new economic and technical revolution called The Cloud. I look forward to working diligently and effectively with Canadian technology experts to further that goal” Levine concluded.

Fedplatform.org, Canadian Cloud Council, GSA, and NIST recently wrapped up their inaugural “Federal Shared Services “online event to over 150 registrants. Cary Landis, Acting Executive Director of Fedplatform.org commented, "We're honored that the Canadian Cloud Council invited us to share experiences about the NIST Reference Architecture and other US Government initiatives. These types of collaborative events are absolutely essential during these formative years of cloud computing. The decisions of today may have potential implications for the next 20 or more years.”

The Canadian Cloud Council and Fedplatform.org are in the preliminary stages of planning a US and Canadian public sector focussed cloud event in Toronto in Spring 2014 and expanding their scope of activities through the Government Cloud Working Group, quarterly educational webinars and other synergistic activities.
