The Canadian Cloud Council Announces "Canadian Cloud Toolkit"

Robert Hart, Founder and CEO of the Canadian Cloud Council, announced the launch of their “Canadian Cloud Toolkit”; a project that will build a comprehensive and dynamic on-line inventory of Canadian cloud technology companies, integrators, start-ups and service providers. The project is being funded in-part by the National Research Council’s Industrial Research Assistance Program (IRAP); and will be hugely influential in developing an open, collaborative and democratized national cloud ecosystem.

The “Canadian Cloud Toolkit” will be project managed by Lynn Sutherland, the Canadian Cloud Council’s Chief Operating Officer, and will include the following key deliverables:

• Comprehensive and dynamic on-line Inventory of Cloud Service Providers, Operators, Consultants and Resources in Canada;
• Cloud Planning Toolkits and Best Practices Resources;
• Cloud Mentoring Program - including access to cloud business and technical experts, “Canadian Made” cloud whitepapers and cloud financiers;
• Cloud Ecosystem Development – to encourage knowledge sharing, collaboration and sharing of services between Canadian cloud vendors and users.

The Canadian Cloud Council is seeking financial support for this project from other aligned organizations with strategic interest in Canadian cloud computing.

“A Canadian cloud service provider catalog and cloud toolkit for Small to Medium Enterprises (SME’s) is critically required in the industry and will generate wide circulation and exposure for each of its supporters”, commented Hart. “Our partners will have substantial input into the project and partnership recognition/profile in the online ”Toolkit” resources, marketing material and at our major events.”
